SBE partners launch international survey on effective climate change measures

CIB, UNEP-SBCI and FIDIC have decided to develop and implement a large-scale international survey on effective climate change mitigation measures in 2016. The content will benefit from the experience of the small pilot survey carried out by iiSBE in late 2015.

The survey will be web-based and may be multi-lingual. In any case, we are aiming for a large number of respondents that will allow considerably more sophisticated analysis than in the pilot survey, such as relating the measures seen as being effective to the location of the respondent and his/her profession. Our goal is to have the results of V2 of the survey made available at the World SBE17 in Hong Kong in June 2017.

The project will be led by Nils Larsson of iiSBE and Dr. Ruben Paul Borg at the University of Malta will be leading the process of analyzing the data. An international panel of advisors will help to guide the content of the survey and the four partner organizations will form a management group.
