iiSBE Net Zero Built Environment Working Group Symposium: Call for Papers

This is the first announcement and call for papers and presentations for the organizational meeting and symposium for the Net Zero Built Environment (nZ-BE) Working Group of iiSBE (the International Initiative for a Sustainable Built Environment). This meeting and symposium are open to practitioners, academics, researchers, manufacturers, and policymakers. The event will take place on 6-7 March 2014 in Rinker Hall, University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida USA.

Topics covered will include:

 Designing low energy buildings in support of net zero energy strategies
 Emerging strategies for net zero energy buildings
 Technologies in support of net zero energy, water, carbon, and waste strategies
 Net zero certification schemes
 Regional, national, and local net zero strategies and programs
 Case studies relevant to net zero energy, water, carbon solutions
 Net zero energy communities

Key dates include:

01 November 2013: Deadline for abstracts for papers/presentations
01 December 2013: Notification of acceptance of abstracts
07 February 2014: Deadline for submission of papers
06-07 March 2014: iiSBE nZBE 2014 Conference
